Scanning your vehicle's systems (control units) with OBDeleven is easy. Here's how:

1. Plug in your OBDeleven device into the car's OBD2 port and connect it to your mobile app. Make sure your phone has Bluetooth turned on and is within range from the device. If you're having issues connecting, refer to this article.

2. Once your vehicle is connected, just click "Tap to scan."

3. You'll see the progress of your scan in the screen:

In the section marked , you'll see the indicators showing vehicle systems in which faults have been found:

  • – the problem(s) detected in the engine control unit

  • – the problem(s) detected in the ABS (anti-lock braking) system

  •  – the problem(s) detected in the airbag system

  • – the problem(s) detected in the steering column system

  •  – the problem(s) detected in other control units

In the section marked , you'll see the number of control units already scanned.

Indicator shows the control unit being scanned at the moment.

Indicator shows the total number of faults found.

If you want to pause or cancel your scan, tap the "X" button marked as .

Once the scan is done, you'll see the total number of faults found. You'll get the list of both passive and active faults. While you can clear passive faults without changing any car parts, you won't be able to clear active faults that require some fixes or changing car parts.

If you wish to clear all passive faults immediately, just swipe up.

If you wish to diagnose further – click on "[X] Problems found" and you'll be redirected to the list of control units.

Note: While you can clear passive faults immediately, it's still worth taking them into consideration as they might indicate some early signs of bigger issues upcoming.
