How will I know if my car supports the OBDeleven’s Basic OBD2 Diagnostics feature?

Almost all newer car models (from 2008 at least, although there may be variations) support the CAN-bus protocol. To check if your car supports this protocol, here’s what you can do:

Step 1: Find the OBD2 port in your car (usually under the steering wheel).

Step 2: Examine the port. There should be a total of 16 pins.

Step 3: Look for the 6th and 14th pins – these pins indicate that your vehicle has the CAN-bus wirings. Check the below image for reference.

Please note that the pinout may differ for different vehicles depending on communication protocols. However, if the 6th and 14th pins are present, your vehicle supports the CAN-bus protocol.
