Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your OBDeleven account, making it harder for attackers to gain access. Even if your password is compromised, the attacker would still need the authentication code generated by your 2FA app.

Setting up 2FA on iOS

To activate 2-step authentication on your OBDeleven account on iOS mobile app, follow these steps:

1. Open the Profile in your OBDeleven mobile app.

2. Click "Enable" on "2-step authentication".

3. You will need an app like Authy, Google Authenticator, or any other trusted 2FA app to generate authentication codes. For this example, we'll use Google Authenticator. Start by downloading it from your app store.

4. In the OBDeleven mobile app, copy the key code. It'll be used to set up the account in your authenticator app.

5. In the Authenticator app, create your account name and paste the key code from the OBDeleven mobile app. Click "Add."

6. The Google Authenticator app will generate a six-digit code every 60 seconds. Enter this code to your OBDeleven app.

7. Save your backup code in case you encounter issues with generating an authentication code and click "Continue." Then, finish the setup by pressing "Finish."
